Meet Dr. Richards
As a chiropractor, Dr. Richards is privileged to help the people of Hendersonville as well as surrounding areas. In fact, patients come to the clinic from as far as South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. Besides helping people recover from back pain, neck pain, headaches, injuries, disc problems and other conditions, Dr. Richards also lectures to companies in the Asheville and Hendersonville area about such health topics as wellness and injury prevention. Additionally, the office regularly provides free health screenings to the Hendersonville community. In 2007 Dr. Richards was elected president of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association's Western District.

NCCA: In 2007 Dr. Richards was elected by the chiropractors of Western North Carolina to serve as president of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association's Western District. In this position he represents the needs and interests of chiropractic patients and chiropractors in the Western North Carolina region. In the past he served 2 consecutive terms as Treasurer.
America's Top Chiropractors: In 2004, the Consumer Research Council of America honored Dr. Richards with a plaque and included him in their list of "America's Top Chiropractors"
Who's Who: In 2004 Dr. Richards was honored by "National Register's Who's Who among Executives and Professionals" and his biography and credentials were included in their registry with the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
Research: While at the University of Missouri, Dr. Richards aided in data collection for research conducted at St. Louis Children's Hospital, the research was published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
Research: While at Logan College, Dr. Richards co-authored a radiology survey of over 6000 X-ray studies from patients seen at the Logan College clinic. It was the largest radiology research study ever completed in the field of chiropractic. The study was published by the school in the year 2000.
Workers Compensation Certification: In 2007 Dr. Richards was awarded certification in Workers Compensation and Industrial Consulting by the North Carolina Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Richards and his wife, Katie, enjoy spending time together traveling, reading, enjoying nature, appreciating great art and music at museums and concerts, going to local festivals, sightseeing on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and delighting in the local attractions of Hendersonville, Asheville, and western North Carolina. Dr. Richards' other hobbies include creating music on the guitar and piano, photography, and learning about history, philosophy, and economics.
The Richards also enjoy watching their children grow up together. Their children are Benjamin, who has Down syndrome, Eleanor, and the newest member of the Richards family is Ian Nathaniel, who was born in September, 2006!
In 2004 Ben's picture was selected by the National Association for Down Syndrome to be featured (along with others) in Times Square in New York! We were so excited that we had to go see it even though we had never been to NY before. The Times News even wrote an article about it! Would you like to see the winning photos? Take a look!
